Skybird Air is committed to having an hundred percent (100%) local operations as much as possible. The aviation industry is a global business which relies to certain extent on procurement of spares from Aircraft manufacturers.
However our target is to ensure 90% of our operations are localized.

To achieve the milestone, we have drawn up a training program for our local pilots in order to meet up with the current 100% cabin attendant in our operations.

On Engineering, just as we are reducing the members of foreign pilots in our fleets, we are already applying to Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for Equivalent Maintenance System (EMS) which would enable our company carry out its maintenance by indigenous engineers trained by our Aircraft manufacturers. This would reduce our dependence on foreign technical partners to a large extent.

At the moment our catering services are fully localized. The ground services and handling are localized also. Our tracking and other Air Navigation subscribed to indigenous companies such as Nigeria Airspace Management Authority (NAMA) overland e.t.c.

All our administrative personnel and other support service providers are indigenous contractors. All stationeries, manuals, paper works are printed locally. Storage system insurance, office procurement and facilities are all 100% localized. Skybird Air as an indigenous Airline is fully committed to achieving the Nigerian content policy, which focuses on the promotion of value addition to the Nigerian economy, though the utilization of local raw materials, products and services in order to stimulate growth of indigenous capacity.
